L322 gearbox slow to change up

Hi all my vogue 2003 is slow to change into top gear, it's ok in all others being quick and responsive it also changes seamlessly when put in manual mode, ????? By the way 120,000 on clock.

The only thing I have heard to cause a slow change up is the transmission overheat cycle that holds the gears longer to move more oil around the transmission and cooler.
Any diagnostic faults ?
