Replacement D2S bulbs

Hi
I am looking at replacing the D2S bulbs in my 53 plate TD6 Vogue for 6000k versions
After looking at the fittings there are warnings about the high voltages involved and the possible injuries that could occur whilst attempting to replace them if unqualified.
Are there any procedures or precautions that I should follow before attempting the replacement?
I don't fancy 28000 volts going through me just changing a bulb, that would be shocking!! Whistle

Probably best to err on the side of caution. Wellies, rolled up,trousers and a handkerchief on your head will protect you.

(I just made sure lights were off - never had any problems).

Rolling with laughter
Thanks for that Chris, I thought that might be the case but thought I'd ask first
