WHY are so many people against the TD6 engine to be honest i think its good enough to sit under the bonnet of a FFRR. i dont need to drive like im driving a sports car nor need the power like a tractor. im happy with the TD6 but why the slagging off???? ONE LIFE LIVE IT |

+1 This morning first time I used the remote heat facility As a fully fledged member of the land rover fraternity, you can see the t rs driving a RR usually a RRS a mile off they have generally come from driving a BMW. I sadly have to admit that was once me but I've now grown up and see the journey as important as reaching the destination........ I still ride a BMW motorbike Test drive a TDV8 RR |

I agree. Nothing wrong wiith the Td6 provided you are not the type of person who races around. Did me very well for two years and I only changed because I got the bug for the TDV8. |

TDv6 is actually a Peugeot Citroen Ford engine modified by Land Rover to suit its offroad requirements like Land Rover's version has a different intake (for wading) and lubrication system (to keep lubes going to places that weird offroad angles that Land Rovers can get to without engine seizure) and also only one turbo, the version in a Jaguar or the bigger Peugoets and Citroens has two turbos. In the new 3.0ltr form Land Rover has upped the output of their version by adding a second, sequential turbo so it now has a small turbo and a large turbo - this gives it nearly the same power output and torque as the

Budgeted originally 30 ish now moving to 35 ish and still nothing !! Going to the lakes for a week next week. Lets see if my love for the tractor grows any ? |

Well my karma is restored I have today placed a deposit on an 07 TDV8 Vogue 36,000 miles westminster blue with sand interior. It all happened so quickly I cannot be totally sure of the spec but I know I have vented seats, tow pack, side steps SC grills, and may be remote heating TBC. I know I should know more but I had literally 30 mins to spare to go and look and to be honest it ticked all my boxes bar privacy glass which you cant win em all. Pics and full specs to follow but have that cannot wait feeling.........always a good sign !!
