Love my 2011 5.0 AB and wouldn't change it - mind you mines only done 41k miles so not even broken in yet. Forget the fuel economy and just enjoy it 😎 "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I've had two, both of which rattled rather like a diesel at tick over, there are tsb's related (timing chain guides & supercharger 'snout' updates) which I had carried out on one under warranty, but didn't make much difference as far as I could make out. |

I had that rattle too on my former SC - unfortunately the car was out of warranty |

I would try to find one that has had the timing chain tensioners replaced with the new parts. Honestly I would value the updated parts greatly at least $3500 or 15-30k miles e.g. 80k with new tensioners > 50k miles without tensioners, or a value add of 3500 for two identical 7700 GVW "cars". After not having mine on the road for around 9 weeks, I thank the Lord pretty much every time she runs well.

Totally agree re the 4.2 by comparison, had a few one of which I had at the same time as the rattly 5.0 and it was near silent by comparison when compared sde by side.
