Loud clicking when unlocking Car

started a few weeks ago and thought it was the steering column
But now think it comes from behind the heater controls
Its a loud clicking.
Any ideas?

Had the same thing some time ago, pretty sure its the heater blend motor, or some flappy thing that makes the noise.

I had the same a couple of weeks ago , above thread is spot on , cleaned and greased gears on motor but never stopped noise , so unplugged for now . Doesn't seem to cause any problems unplugged . Clicking noise was only heard when unlocking after car entered sleep mode
