Spiders in wing mirrors

Getting tired of cleaning cobwebs off the wing mirrors. Anyone got a foolproof method of
getting rid of the little devils (short of dismantling the mirrors)?

1. Clean mirror with lemon. Spiders are repelled by the taste of lemon, so you could try cleaning with a lemon-juice-soaked cloth, or a lemon-scented duster.

2. Place eucalyptus leaves around mirror, as the strong smell repels spiders.

Worse case scenario

3. Serve eviction notice with bailiff & Police in tow. Laughing ====================================

the trouble with eucalyptus leaves is that they attract koala bears and you have a devil of a job to prise them off the mirrors.. ... - .- -.

I'm told spiders don't look peppermint, so how about taping a couple of Polo mints to each mirror Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Must be a wind up right?

If not, whatever you do, don't get a Defender. Never mind wing mirrors, you get webs over the door Windows and at least one or two 'pet' spiders inside Very Happy

Nothing can be as bad, as when I used my old classic -12 runs to the dump., to dump a huge amount of bramble, fence, and ivy. Left the last run in car overnight, as dump was shut. For about two weeks, I had so many spiders, snails, caterpillars, webs, slugs, and flying things coming out from everywhere.
Learnt a lesson that day.

Yes, the lesser spotted wing mirror spider, is on the rise again.
How do they know where to find them.
