I've never had a set of pagid pads that didn't squeal like banshees, so avoid them whenever possible.
I think I will just order from Dan if I can't find a good indy down here in Cornwall with original parts in stock.

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I never compromise on safety related elements like brakes and tyres, and always source OE ones, even though mates tell me I'm stupid because they are twice the price Rolling Eyes

I just wouldn't trust halfrauds special offer brakes to safely stop a 3 tonne FF Shocked Shocked

My family (and their safety) is my main concern, everything else is secondary. Some people just don't get that.

You also have to remember that, no matter what age your FF is, when it was new it was a high end luxury vehicle and LR reflected that in the quality (in most cases) of the various components they sourced, and tested on the vehicle.

Think of it this way......a vehicle manufacturer has to design, manufacture and test new vehicles with no possible comebacks on safety. Compare that with an after market manufacturer of brake pads. They can say they are OE equivalent but they won't have tested them exhaustively on the vehicle and certainly won't entertain any liability if you have an accident because you couldn't stop in time. "Quelle surprise".

Sorry, think I may have hijacked the thread. Rant over.....sorry Whistle 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

OE parts are always preferable but sometimes the cheaper option might be ok and that advice ,whether the make is ok, can be found on this forum... ... - .- -.

Unfortunately the wiki bit doesn't show up on the mobile site and a combination of fat fingers, reading glasses and small print on smart phone screen is slowing my searches down somewhat.
Do have a handy link for brake recommendations Stan?

Cheers
Pete

Managed to get a look at my calipers and they say range rover on them not Brembo.
Were the Brembos badged as range rover? What do other people's calipers say?
Mine is 60 plate and v5 states it's a Jan 2011 car.
Thanks for any clarification any one can give.

Cheers
Pete

john & abe, recovering from an operation ..still very painful but on the right track..

abe, the brake calipers are brembo, the pads and discs are not as brembo do not make said items....LR put 'range rover' on the calipers cos it looks good for them.. ... - .- -.

I fitted Brembo all round (Pads & Discs) when i first got my FFRR (Sept 2015) and had no issues in the last 12months of owning it.
