SWMBO's Aston. Has an electrical issue on Saturday just gone. Roof module dead and bringing the CAN down. No lights, wipers, indicators, gauges etc. So I get it organised to be repaired, under warranty and at minimal inconvenience to herself. Is that enough? Is it F**k. Complaining about the next 4 days of sunshine with not being able to have the roof down.

Put the roof up, then remove the fuse in question. Maybe after the roof "strangely doesn't work for about a week after you put it up" she will put it up herself.

I have a simple policy after the Ex. If a woman friend, partner, what have you asks for help with cars i give gentle advice waiting for the clanger like its gotta 50millions things and be mint.... but under £1000 or such .

If they dont ask then i dont offer, less pain.

If they earn enough to look after the car and they have a licence then leave them to it. If they give jip just ask if all the clothes are washed and ironed and house immaculate. If they start spouting sexist drivel just mention how the pot is talking to the kettle....

Its a woman thing!! My missus gets all arsey if i leave a pair of shoes out of place or don't hang a coat up but her car looks like is been hosting a country fair!!

Last year i bought her a new (to her)2012 Qashqai to replace her absolutely f***ed n reg fiesta. Paid £13k for it with every conceivable extra and now a year later its looks a piece of crap. It hasn't been hoovered out since i bought it and gets a trip to the Kosovan car wash but only when she can't see out the windows.
The boot has has a bag of rabbit food spilt and thats rolling around. I know its only a car but it seems that most woman have absolutely no respect for cars at all. I even explained to her that if it was looked after then it would be worth more when it came to selling it so she could have something better

I have refused to have anything to do with cleaning it until she starts to take a bit of care of it
Now she keeps dropping hints about wanting an Evoque-I DONT THINK SO!!!

I've just cleared out the boot of my other halfs Fiat 500 to fix a flat tyre and I discovered a 3 month old smoked salmon that was stinking the cr*p out of the car. She said afterwards that there was a funny odour in the car but she did not know what it was!

I get bol*cked for leaving a dish out in the kitchen, and she wants everything in place and clean at home, but her car seems to be a mobile tip..... My fullfat is a work in progress but at lease clean and presentable... Tom
