If the 4.4's coolant has leaked out and sprayed into the belts and engine then it tends to dry as a light blue greasy powdery film. That stuff looks like a lot of the same congealed stuff. I wonder if the system has been left open and drained partly for a long period and allowed the coolant to dry out and congeal, and when new fluid added it's not dissolved again and continued to sludge around?

As for the egg ... It's an egg white that you use and I've seen it used successfully. V8 or else ...

I wonder, in Co Antrim, are these cars high taxed? I (being an Englishman) seem to remember hearing stories of high taxed l322 rangies, with no rear seats!

I think you are thinking of the Irish Republic where, as I understand it, vehicle tax rates are very high.

On the other hand County Antrim, being in Northern Ireland, is part of the United Kingdom with the same rates of tax as the rest of the UK.

As you can tell, I'm a typical Londener, so anything 'county' and it all foreign.

Sorry for misunderstanding my Counties!
