Phone symbol on audio/nav

I can't find any info on this. Is there a Bluetooth connection? How do I activate it? Is it just a symbol and a button without function? Thanks

It's highly unlikely that you'll have Bluetooth on a 2004 model, unless someone has already retro-fitted it. Do you have the phone button on the steering wheel (right hand side). If not then it's probably not prewired for telephone.
A check in the boot (trunk!) - left hand side - is your next step. If you find a black 32 pin connector not being used, it will be promising news. If you find a white X300 connector then you'll be looking at a more expensive job.
Have a look on Bimmernav website for more advice, including photos.

Chris

Thanks. It is odd the RAVE has some pictures of the audio system showing a phone button but no info on it.

On UK models "communications pack including cellular telephone and voice recognition" was an optional extra (2003 brochure). Only Range Rovers since 1988
