newbie

Hello from a Newbie
Just bought a 2013 L405 SDV8 from my Dad who had it from new (Better the devil you know and all that). Loving it so far!
Just a question to those who have the cameras installed- I can get the special views (junction, kerb and trailer) when I press the camera icon and it automatically goes to rear camera when reversing, but are there any other views I can get (eg just whats in front of the car below bonnet level, for parking up to bollards etc.)?
Any help or pointer appreciated.
Thanks
Jon

Hello and welcome Very Happy

I think the answer is no. As far as I recall the cameras on the surround system are restricted to the two on the front for the junction view, the ones in the wing mirrors for the kerb views and the ones on the rear for reversing/trailers etc.

In theory you could remove the junction ones and move them about to give you a view of the front but you would need to fabricate some new kind of holder for them once in the correct position. I have always found the parking sensors to be accurate enough for parking up against bollards etc 2008 TDV8

Thanks. I won't be moving them around- that sounds a bit complicated. Just a bit mis-lead by the term "special" view- it kind of makes me think there ought to be an "ordinary" view!

Select the Home Menu > More> Cameras

You then have the choice of what you look at. You can zoom in and move the view a little (when zoomed). I use this when the boot is full and I can't use my rear view mirror - I put up the reversing camera and use that as the rear view mirror)
