Managed to get the sleeve back in and locked up. Refilled cold until dripping out. Started engine Refilled to correct level.

The seals on new ones are so good they are difficult to get it.

I did refill to the correct procedure, but still have "Transmission fault" although it is going up and down the gears when driving smoother than previously.

Not that it should make a difference, but then the RR never conforms really in any of the logic stakes.

UPDATE had the garage next door put it on therror ramps and check the plug...I hadn't seated it properly. Cleaned and refitted. No more faults and the gear change request noticeably smoother. |

I remember getting the plug to re-seat in the new sleeve wasn't easy on my 6 speed when I had the solenoid issue. It took a bit of fiddling and strong fingers/hands to get it to seat completely and twist the ring into locking.
