Hi guys, looking at a 2010 4.4 tdv8. Do you think 90,000 is too high?

Nah.... Mines a 2011 on 84k. Never need any revs, it won't have done any work I wouldn't imagine. Seems to go everywhere at less than 2000rpm unless you prod it.....

Just check the oil heat exchanger in the V is not leaking ie there is actually water in the cooling system and there is oil in the engine...... Seems a common issue on these, cost me just over £1000.

Other than that, it's epic....

Not heard of any major problems associated with higher mileage. My 2011 has done just over 90k and fingers crossed is fine Paul

Mine is approaching 87k without missing a beat. 90k is nothing.

I would recommend a gearbox oil change soon tho so budget for £350.00 ish plus the vat..  405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Top tip. Don't drive it everywhere at less than 2000rpm.

The secondary turbo will fill up with oil and create greats clouds of smoke of otherwise.....

Give it some beans from time to time!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yea, I was just making the point it's not stressed much, but you will need to get the second turbo spun up from time to time....

.....and if you find the hi-fi a bit underwhelming, try it with the Logic 7 turned off. Did the trick for me.

There was a front brake hose recall (which mine needed) and the good old turbo drain pipe recall. A dealer should be able to tell you if it's been done if you have the VIN or reg plate, and they should be able to provide a build sheet.
