I'm towing a 2.200kg trailer with my RR down to Sardinia next week for our holidays. Having read the manual I've been looking to see if the car gives any special help via it's electronics when you're towing like stiffening suspension or some sort of sway/yaw control.
I went to my local dealer today but they didn't seem to know what I was on about, I had read about Tow assist in the manual but they weren't sure if it was fitted or not or what it did (not surprised really).
I have a Witter detachable fitted independently and in theory the car knows when it has something hitched as the trailer icon comes on when the indicators flash.

Any idea's to help?

BTW my car is a Vogue with no extra camera's fitted just the standard reversing one.

Not sure on the L405. My 2011 L322 has Tow Assist and there is no perceivable difference really. I didn't want a poster sized sticker on the front of the caravan so even the hitch assist doesn't work. The only noticeable difference on mine is the surround cameras give an extra setting to supposedly see down the sides of the trailer but that too is rather more of a gimmick than a useful function.

Air suspension will take care of the ride height and 2200Kg isn't a lot for one of these.

On mine , a 332, when the trailer is connected it brings up a panel asking if one has and gives about 5 different types of trailer, you then select one and put details in which it remembers, apparently for the stability system.

It also turns off blind spot monitoring and the car rear fogs.

I did read somewhere a long time ago that it altered the gear box map but could never find it again.
