If it was me i would fight tooth and nail for the warranty to be honoured, it was part of the deal when you bought the car, and no doubt the dealer that sold you the car used it as a selling tool. Failing that i would ask for a full refund, hand the car back Dave

It sounds like you got it from a car dealer and they sold It with the warranty? Perhaps they didn't realise that it was not transferable? If they are reputable and acting in good faith, they may have not known about the cancellation clause?

My thoughts are that your should go back to the dealer and ask for them to pay for a new warranty with Land Rover or tell them that you want to reject the car as you bought it in good faith that it would have the warranty on it as part of the sale.

It sounds like you need to get down to the CAB or contact a solicitors (you may have legal cover on your car or household policies)?

You need to act quickly and cause a stink as the longer you leave it, they will consider you are accepting the situation.

I'm sure there will be some legal bods on here who own a new £100k+ Autobiography who may give you the benefit of their knowledge and experience?!!!

As I understand it, there are two paths to the LR warranty:-

1. The car is sold by a LR dealer and the car, if no more than five years old, comes with a two-year LR warranty for Approved Used vehicles

2. The car is sold by a non-LR dealer and the buyer pays £700 ( I think it is) to have the vehicle inspected by a LR dealer who then gives it the two year LR Approved Used warranty. Some who buy a vehicle from a LR dealer can also fall into this category if the car has previously been outside the network (i.e. not serviced by a LR dealer) which is why these vehicles come with a third-party warranty and not the LR warranty.

AKAIK therefor, a vehicle can be brought back into the LR warranty system.....

I believe.

It can be bought back into the LR Warranty program. The cost for the inspection is around £150.
