Looks like a great service kin. How much was it, how long did it take and do you have any pics of your car?

He's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for....I only went for service D Enhance and protect(cost £300), cleaned the leather interior(the fronts now looks almost new), took all alloy wheels off and cleaned it, engine cleaned etc etc. I did not go for full paint correction, because silver colour does hide the swirl marks extremely well.

With the silver car, it also very hard to tell from photo whether there's any improvement, but you have to see it in the fresh. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow anyway.

It took him and his apprentice a full day, he started washing my car at 8am, and just finish my car off at 6pm, when I arrive to collect the car, Thumbs Up

You could see my Morgan Aero8 in his gallery Whistle

Does anyone know of any decent car detailers in the Herts / Bucks area?

I have a collection of small paintwork and plastic scratches that I'm sure a professional could work some magic on. Cool

I have to be honest, I always tend to use the local hand carwash guys, but the idea of treating the new beastie to a proper clean does sound good. "If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through."

I am looking for one too Mister fake as a fellow Hertfordshire Man. I did a bit of research last night following kins thread and no approved Zymol retailers appeared to be in the area. i will have a better look over the weekend and let you know. We may be able to negotiate a big discount for more than one car Whistle

Sorry for the confusions guys, the car is sold last month to a chap in Cornwall, I'm gutted Big Cry

Re Detailers in Hert Area..check these out..

Do not worry, if some of these guys don't use Zymol. Swisswax is also very good, at the end of the day, it's the guy who does the preparation which accounts for 80-90% of how the car would turn out...not the wax!

I must admit, I was sceptical about clay bar. I had thought that it was one of those things that show car owners used to gain imperceptable improvements to already perfect paint.

However, after seeing a lovely new and very shiny FFRR on a dealer display and wondering how to get my paintwork back up to that standard without shelling out hundreds of pounds, I thought I'd give it a go.

Fantastic results (will post photo later). Halfrauds didn't have the Megiuars kit in, but do their own for a fiver cheaper. So used that. Excellent.

There is a major downside though that all should be aware of, and that I am quite upset with RRUK for not pointing out . . . .

. . . . the missus wants her car doing now! Smile

That's my faveorite colour on a Range Rover, lovely interior combination too!

You've done a stunning job!

I've clayed my bonnet so far because it was in a terrible state, but have clayed cars in the past and agree it is a must. There is nothing like washing a car after its been clayed & finished the water just glides right off.

Did you have any paint correction to do, swirl marks etc? Mine has very light scratches on the passenger side and some slight swirl marks. I'm going to order a megs G220 DA polisher to get rid of any imperfections after I've had a bodyshop touch up a couple of more severe blemishes - maybe even a complete respray on the bonnet as its covered in stone chips.
