Proper punctuation and grammar is the difference between 'helping your Uncle, Jack, off a horse' and 'helping your uncle jack off a horse'. Just sayin'. Whistle

At the risk of taking this thread even FURTHER off topic, I do love a good auto-correct / predictive text story too. Assume most have seen this little gem...

Proper punctuation and spelling is essential in our tricky language, I think someone on here uses the tag line that includes:

"knowing you're Censored " or "knowing your Censored " this can cause some hilarity if you get it wrong, although I know I know I'm Censored - but it's even better censored :roll laugh:

Dragging it back to topic, the MOT tester didn't seem to know his Censored Very Happy Geoff

Australia

My wife worked in neo-natal intensive care at our local hospital here in Sydney's west. Now remember that us Westies are considered to be bogans https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogan so we aren't well thought of by the toffee-nosed set.

One day a nurse asked a really bogan mother (think Vicky Pollard) how to pronounce her son's name. The mother was quite indignant and said "Wot? You don't know how to pronounce Mafeu?'

It seems the mother had spelled the child's name like that when she registered the birth - it should have "Matthew". Rolling Eyes Ron B. VK2OTC
