I'm from London, moved here in the 1990's so I can upset more "Northern folk" than I could from down there..... Whistle

Pete, you moved out of London Town, because there wasn't enough mud here, to drive through, and the London river, is tidal, and sometimes too deep for your snorkel, and has too many easy and strong bridges. (Some are even free to use!)

You certainly are making the most out of your mud-plugging, scenic cruising, ditch crossing, flood wading, green-laning, coast-to coast-ing, lean green, mean machine.
I think, almost every nut, and clip on the thing, has had a tinker, or a chin-scratching, modding pre-thought, at some point. Razz
Must be the country air, or all that stinking manure you country boys love spreading around?
But you do know your stuff, geezer. Bow down

-oops, sorry, 'geezer,' -that's a London thing.

Must be all the smoke we drive round in. Laughing

John, love this sentence....

You certainly are making the most out of your mud-plugging, scenic cruising, ditch crossing, flood wading, green-laning, coast-to coast-ing, lean green, mean machine.

But at 2830kg, it isn't lean.....

Anyway back to the poor OP... hope you get it fixed cheapish and sorted... always worth paying that bit extra when buying suspension, steering or brake parts, plenty of OE stuff around you can get from our friendly site sponsor Dan at Duckworths or places like Island4X4

Thumbs Up Pete

(Quote,). But at 2830kg, it isn't lean.....

Next time, when on the weigh bridge, try getting out Pete.

Razz

There are many people on here, with brake pipe stories. It really isn't worth running the risk. Especially, now you 'know'

Some old motor factor shops, make up brake pipes, if you bring in an old one.

.....I don't mean Pete,

.i mean, .an old brake pipe!

One has to have standards....

I'm with you, Pete. On one forum, the Admin has put Spelling Bee Captain under my Avatar. On the Aust LR Owners forum, there is the "Ron Clause" created by one of the Admins when I was a mere Moderator. The clause states, basically, use text speak and your post will be deleted. Laughing

And I'm a grumpy old git.

Lastly, I prefer "good" English because not everyone on international fora has English as a first language - not even, it seems, Englishmen. Whistle Ron B. VK2OTC

I didn't go to private schools, just co-ed state schools. Very Happy

However, it seems that these days teachers themselves can't spell and thus don't care about it with their students. Evil or Very Mad Ron B. VK2OTC

Fair play, vmaxer....for taking it on the chin and seeing the humour of it.

The "dredit mot" still has me chuckling and I have to ask; was that spelling influenced by seeing a Judge Dredd film? Whistle Twisted Evil

On the spelling comments, I had a reet gud laff at this article this week!

Red-faced mother complains to Aldi that her son's birthday bunting spells 'Tappy ratyr' - only to be told she'd put letters in wrong order and it actually reads 'Party party'
Emma Curwen, 43, bought bunting from Aldi for son's 7th birthday party
She hung up the decoration and thought the letters spelt out 'tappy ratyr'
Student nurse complained to Aldi, saying 'not many kids are called Ratty'
Friend spotted the letters were mixed-up and actually spelt 'party party'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-36...party.html

Student Nurse as well!

Hey guys I went to Grammer school and onwards, got loads of O A levels, Degrees and stuff, but I can't spell. Not that much bothered now but as a youngster when a spelling mistake was pointed out it hurt. Please keep that in mind. However as to text speak I blame the use of phones to access the tinternet, but hey that is progress.
