The stormers we're only OE on the RRS. The tyre sizes were different..... Could be that....

The overall height of those tyres is less than the ones you took off, ie less diameter, so they will look slightly more "lost" in the arches. The wheels are half an inch wider though, so should give it a wider stance....

There are calculators available online to tell you what's the nearest to original, if you are at 275 width.

I bought some RRS sized 20's and bought some 275 50 20 tyres, they are wide, and suitably rated, and to me, give a much better fat fit. They don't look right on the original 8.5 inch rims though. ( I tried one) So the RRS 9 inch is good. The look, is good, but is on the limits of wheel arch protrusion. No rubbing issues though. And speedo reads accurate. Drivability is good. I have seen those RRS small sidewalls, and they do look wrong.

Mine currently has 275 45 20 tyres on RRS wheels( the wheels and tyres are listed in the for sale section) while i get my originals refurbed. These give the same rolling radius as the original size 255 50 20s (or as near as possible). The 275 40 20 is the size fitted to the sport

I had 275 40 Vreds on my stormers but had to change them eventually because of the harsh ride. I've now got 275 45
