Filling up with Diesel

So when i go down to the petrol station and fill the FF up the fuel keeps stopping like the tank is full even when its more or less empty. I have checked down the hose and the stopper hasn't deployed, however every time you put the correct nozzle as in Diesel into the refill hose it cuts out, i more or less have to hold the trigger and hose with two hands to get a full fill up, a very laborious task. Any answers here most appreciated.

So what did Land rover say about this, did they fix it because surely this is a design fault?

I had this when I recently bought my TDV8 - I thought it was a design fault but it turned out that the shutters were just deployed and resetting with the tool results in filling at full pump flow with the nozzle held normally.

Just as well, because it takes so much, I was getting cramp in my hand trying to hold the flow rate down while it filled...

I guess that LR must have expected this issue because they supplied the tool in every RR
