Move to Oz. We prefer Scots to the English. We can't understand you, but maybe that's why we like you. Ron B. VK2OTC

After thirty-two years in England, when being encouraged to move back to Scotland by relatives, I am minded of all the things I did not like, many which have been mentioned previously that are wholly accurate in my experience and contributory to my decision to leave and not often return...... You may remember that I posted up, asking for suggestions for locations in Scotland and whilst I remain very grateful for everyone's advice, once again, my enthusiasm for returning, even for a holiday, has waned. Duty and obligation is the only real force driving me to return for a visit and not a desire to be in Scotland. As I see it, the main difference between Scotland and England in practical terms is that being larger, the pool of -wits isn't so concentrated in England, being diluted by geographical size and significantly greater population numbers. Unfortunately, Scotland is another of the world's truly beautiful places ruined by the inhabitants. **Clearly my post does not apply to the reasoned and reasonable people from Scotland, only to the aggressive, religion-fixated oxygen stealing sheeples revelling in Braveheart nationalism and anti-English sentiment. |

Couldn't agree more I have been living outside Scotland for 40 years now and go back regularly with work which only confirms that my original decision was right mind you it is easy to tell summer from winter up there in winter the rain is horizontal - for us another couple of years and we are off to the Languedoc |
