I think you know the answer to that one - I think you are just looking for the support you need to sell the idea to SWMBO |

Surely this isn't a genuine question?

Not wishing to back track on my last post....but it may be worth doing some research into the 3.0 engine seizure issue that seems to be becoming a more frequent occurence.

I'd keep the 322 and not bother with extending the warranty. I was disgusted with LR's attitude to their corrosion warranty when I had rusty wheel arches after about 2 years. They declined to pay, citing "external influence - weather conditions". I thought if that was their attitude to a claim I thought 100% legitimate, what would be their attitude to other claims? I decided I would save the £1200 odd and just take the risk, partly supported by my experience with my 2004 4.4 322, which was actually OK between years 3 and 4. Touching wood as I write, to date there have been no problems with my 2012 car since the warranty expired (September 2015). Of course "past performance is not a guide"...

322 all the way, really don't like the 405 and the 3 ltr seems to be a real pain itn. |

The appeal of a new car and especially a newer FF is always going to be a significant temptation but the SDV6 would be too much of a gamble for me. I'd either extend the warranty or put the money aside and have a nice midweek break near Cam-Tech for checking and servicing.
