Two weeks ago I got into a minor accident, the other vehicle hit my passenger side mirror and the camera on that mirror stopped working (blue screen). No biggie. Now I get a "Camera system fault" error message and none of the surround cameras work (nothing happens when I hit the Cameras button) and the backup camera doesn't kick in when I go into reverse. Is the bad camera now affecting the whole system or is this an isolated issue? If the latter, how can I troubleshoot or fix it (I'm comfortable tinkering)?

One's out, all out as far as i would be aware... i.e. disconnect/damage one cam and the whole system will shut down...

Only one true way to check... Replace the damaged mirror?

Not sure thats correct, I had two camera's 'blue screen' (door mirror & front bumper) but the remaining continued working ok, guess it depends on the cause of the fault being system wide or isolated to the camera in question.

I had to replace a mirror on a customers car and because that mirror was disconnected, the whole system went down! Connected a new one and it all worked again... Not exact science i realise but...

I have two blue screen on my system. Front left bumper camera is absent (where do I get a replacement?) and the other three are all working fine.

a faulty camera would probably still let the others work ok, a bang on the wing mirror assembly could 'break' a circuit causing the rest to fail.. ... - .- -.
