Went to cast my vote today met at the polling station with vote remain being the only poster on display on the way in ,I made polite conversation with the polling officers and said it will be a long day for you today ? Answer from one officer.... yes but due to the working time directive laid down by the EU I am entitled to two 15 minute breaks before lunch and a further two after and I'm also entitled to a 10 minute emergency toilet break over and above the previously mentioned entitlements....I voted out!!! I'm out, because we weren't allowed to vote for the Maastricht/Lisbon treaty, they did that for us.
I just don't buy all the complete flannel, from the campaigns, and, wanting some decent wages, that can be taxed/declared by my own kids in the future,- if going into trades etc.

The thing that tips it for people I've spoken to, is Cameron's comment, something like, 'look, if immigrants come here without finding work, in six months, then we can ask them to leave."
'Ask' being the useless link to the sentence. And even when we pay to make them leave, they return again.
And, then there is always that really annoying word for all the hard working border industry.
AMNESTY
.basically, if you keep your head down for long enough, you will get a passport, and join the handout/hospital queue.
And under quote manual labour, and take the cash jobs, outside the country, etc.
There are many more reasons, but these are top of many peoples' bus queue/waiting at the bar/bank etc, small-talk headlines.

I've voted in, the lesser of two evil's for me.

I also want to be a world citizen with maximum freedom of movement across Europe to pursue new opportunities that the EU may have to offer.
I want my children to have a future that is not UK dependant or restricted because they live in a country living off past glories and dreaming of what might be.
If we vote out I'll be ditching my UK passport in favour of an Irish one I'm eligible for.

I'm not at all happy with the current EU set up as it is but nothing is perfect and neither was the pre EU 'indepedant' UK.

Anyway what will be, will be and I'll live with the result one way or another. Travelling around in circles again.

I'm past caring. If we stay we'll get screwed over by Brussels and if we leave we'll get screwed over by Westminster. Rolling Eyes

Right, so we'll be getting screwed over by Westminster then. At least they'll have to earn their money now.

The win was there to be taken but I'm afraid Mr C played the wrong game.

He used ever increasingly stupid scare tactics with the campaign trotting out endless "experts" who when examined, had deep, self-serving interests, and lets not forget the condescending, patronising and often downright insulting language and name-calling and labelling used by his campaign and supporters....

No more blaming the EU...the buck stop with them now.

Spot on Giant. At no point did Remain put the case for staying in. All they did was push ever more ludicrous scare stories which were soon exposed as hog wash. As a supposed PR professional Cameron should have known better. But looking on the bright side, at least it will mean that sneering idiot Gideon Osborne won't now get anywhere near the top job. He really has dug his own grave politically with his recent performances.
