MPG query

So I've had the beast a month now and I'm averaging 100-150 miles out of a full tank of LPG (70 litres/£35) which the LPG guys say is about right?! Really? And this is taking it easy I might add.

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Think you added that's it's a 4.4 V8 on the wrong thread....

You should be getting more than that, your getting between 6 to 9 mpg on those figures, you should get between 14 - 18 depending how you drive, which is about 20% less than petrol....

Very easy to make an LPG fueled car run nice by richening the mixture, find another garage and ask them to set it up properly, go on LPGA site to find a member....

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

I drive local most of the time, school run then to work etc
i recon i fill up (90 litre tank) 80 litres (give or take a bit) at a cost of around £35 (at the moment as prices go up and down but at 43p per litre )and expect to get 240 miles to a tank.
i dont always drive like miss daisy but 240 give or take.
When i get on the motorway, say on a good run then 350ish

Sleeper that's nuts - I am consistently getting 75litres to 190miles - I took it to a specialist as I initially had a few problems and they pointed out the Ecu was from 2003 and did not have the don interface, the injectors were as old and were over fuelling and that it wasn't ideal as the gas was fed with a 6mm pipe not an 8mm I got the first too done so far and get that economy in my 4.4 v8 is yours the dme engine ? Wht kit do you have ? I have omvl/zavoli aeb

Mine's a 2003 with a BRC system. In mixed driving I get about 250 miles on just under 70 litres, which I think is 15-16 MPG. I've only run it dry once, I think I got nearer 260 miles but can't remember how much it took to fill it!

France 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

mine does up to 280 miles with 75L of lpg exactly the same mpg as my old classic but in this latter I can fill in 95 litre.
This is the downside of the L322, not enough room for a decent lpg tank if you want to keep your boot free Sad
On long journeys the mpg can improve further more. Current:
- L322 2006 S/C lpg
- RRC 1988 lpg / 287 000 miles
- Stage one 1981
- Lightweight 1976
- 109 SW 1968 under rebuilt

Gone: none

How can this range vary so much between vehicles?

England

It can vary hugely on the same vehicle Very Happy .

As always with a range rover, depends on where it's driven.

Driving in town (London) low MPG, outside town could easily be a 50% MPG improvement.

Only 2miles off the m6 as well
