BENTLEY BENTAYGA RECEIVES ‘GAME CHANGER’ AWARD FROM AUTOCAR MAGAZINE
MAY 25, 2016

Bentley’s sector-defining Bentayga recognised for its unique combination of luxury, performance and versatility
‘Game Changer’ award marks new SUV out as unique in the automotive world
“The only, and by definition, best luxury 4x4”, according to Autocar
(Crewe, 25 May 2016) Autocar magazine has recognised the Bentley Bentayga as a defining moment in the automotive world, awarding Crewe’s latest model the Game Changer Award.

The accolade, which honours cars for setting new standards and defying convention, was bestowed on the Bentayga due to its unique combination of luxury and go-anywhere ability.

Autocar Editor, Jim Holder, said: “The Bentayga proves that luxury, performance and SUV versatility can go hand in hand. It is the only, and by definition, the best luxury 4x4 and it would take an impressive car to beat it.”

That still leaves a lot of footballers and DJs as buyers. Ron B. VK2OTC

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

The shared platform thing doesn't bother me in itself. I mean, we share 95% of our DNA with a halibut but it's the five percent that makes the difference.

Where the shared platform does fall down is space; a Q7 was on my list of possible buys until I got in one. Same with the Toureg and Cayenne; big cars, very little space inside.

I suppose most of the initial run is heading to the Middle and Far East with a smattering going elsewhere.....can't wait to see this "4x4 SUV" being filmed off road. Surely it's an all-wheel-drive car as opposed to a 4x4 so it should ride better on the road than an actual 4x4, shouldn't it?

You can replace "Bentayga" (which sounds like some sort of tropical disease) with "Range Rover" and the statement would be still the same, except in the case of the Range Rover it will have been valid for the last few decades IMHO.

Cant see how they can claim it is the "only one".

England 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Saw one today and I have to say that it very much reminded me of a blinged up Q7. Interior was top notch though but the front grill looks like it was designed by Victoria Beckham or Katie Price. Not for me, even if I could justify the asking price.
