Windscreen keeping clean

Is it just me, or does the FFRR (L322 in my case) seem to attract more squashed flying insects, and hence get filthy, far more quickly than other vehicles?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the rake & angles combined with general vehicle aerodynamics (or lack of) - but does anybody have any tips for keeping the windscreen clean?

Another factor could be speed Rolling with laughter

I use Rain X on all my cars, which may assist in bug removal

Don't know what else to suggest Wink Regards

It's just as bad on the L405

Speed & location are a factor too - on a recent trip to France, high speed through rural farmland autoroutes and I could hardly see out. Fortunately over there all the petrol stations provide window squeegees with insect remover nets on Thumbs Up

I found it more of a problem to clean the front of the car than the windscreen - but a clay bar helped there Thumbs Up

Didn't know such a thing existed Stan.

Personally, I keep the screen polished every other wash, seem to work a treat, along with new wipers every so often.

Nothing to do with screen angle at all!!!

It all depends what music you play. Due to the acoustic windshield, certain frequencies tend to attract more insects than the non-acoustic windshields.

Heavy metal music, for example, is mainly power chords which are played on the lower strings at high volumes and with distortion, additional low frequency sounds are created, which add to the "...weight of the sound" and create an effect of "...overwhelming power" which bugs tend to be attracted to.

Justin Bieber on the other hand, tends to annoy everyone and everything, therefore should keep your screen clearer.

I think I need to get some work done instead of talking absolute Censored

Whistle

I use rain x on the windows and colinite wax for the body. Make cleaning the monster truck easy.

I'd rather have a bug covered screen than have to listen to Dustin Beever Rolling with laughter
