You will never love a Q7 unless you really love the look of Canal boats..

The old Q7 was really smart IMO. The new one looks like a big slab. Probably a fine, luxury car but not a good looking one.

Thank you All for the precious comments...including this one!

I think that I will go for the Range. I've just had an attractive offer for an Autobiography 3.0 TDV6 that is immediately available (demo car, owned by the dealer, with ~10.000 km) and I think I will go for it.

Exterior color is Indus Silver and I like it very much. The interior is NAVY-CIRRUS (with NAVY SEATS), and I've seen just some pictures of it.

Any opinion about this color combination?

Thanks!

Sorry OP but the Range Rover is in a different league to an Audi and this argument is futile.

A silver AB L405 is light years ahead and should be bought and enjoyed pdq. I suspect after a while you will wonder why you ever dreamt of a Q7 despite it's better electronics.

The Q7 looks like an estate car to me, I like the old one, but the new one is too low and long.

Yes but at least it was fairly tall. This one seems much lower and that's a big turn off for me. Interior quality is good though and the tech could teach LR a thing or two.

A friend of mine did some "fording" in his Q7 here in Malaysia, submerged road, and ended up hydrolocking his engine. Big job to fix. Q7 is not an off roader, it is a soft roader.

Whether you need the FFRR off road capabilities or not, at least they are available !!!

I don't like the Q7 look very much but also don't hate it. It is typical Audi to me, bland but ok.

The L322 is still my favourite look as it still has soo much of the Classic look while being modern (for its time). I do like the 405 more than in the beginning and I like it a LOT more than any Audi model.

I would not be happy driving an Audi iso a FFRR, they are just too different.

As for the hybrid capabilities, I think JLR missed the mark by a mile and should have come up with a much better version, with serious long range full EV capability. This is just too much of a token hybrid. But then I think hybrid are yesterday and the future is full EV anyway.

I hope the JLR "5-series" Range Rovers will have full EV options as the model lends itself to it. Plenty of space for batteries and the lightweight design will keep the overall weight lower.

Anyway, back on topic, DON'T go for the Audi, you will need to grow rubber knees to kick yourself in the back of the head on a daily basis I expect. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
