About five years ago I traded in my 2003 Vogue TD6 transfer of money facilitator for a Pathfinder. Life hasn't been the same since. I've spent £16.50 on labour for non service related items on the Pathfinder.

There was a time I had cyber friends all around the world, all sharing the pain of the next problem. These days I rarely visit car forums, my desktop computer has a layer of dust and the Laptop again rarely comes out but for banking.

So I've come to the conclusion it is time to reduce the fleet from my two cars down to one. I have aside of the Pathfinder a 110 CSW from 1990, it to is of an age that it is need of constant fettling.

So in order to bring order to my life and make good use of the forum again I'm looking in to the light that is Range Rover ownership again. I swore I never would again, but maybe I was just unlucky with the last one. So at least I'll be able to fill those evenings with nothing on TV with respectable forum surfing again, seeking out solutions to the mystery of the green oval. Looking forwards to it in a S&M kind of self financial abuse kind of way.

Tempted at the mo by a 2008 TDV8 Vogue if the prices stack up right..... am I mental or what? 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

Totally..... that's got two more cylinders, one more turbo, more gears and loads more ECU's to break...


All of the above is totally irrelevant when it comes to FF ownership though.... life is too short to not scratch the itch...

Dudes.... it's like I've never been away, my therapist says it will all be fine. My Bank manager just put an order in for a New off the Line Rangie for himself based on his Christmas bonus and apparently single handedly I have the potential to secure steering the UK away from recession for the next x number years of ownership.

What could possibly.... no.. I think I'll park that thought just here. We'll let time tell eh!

Not as much as I'd like... Hoping low mileage and DIY fettling might stem the flow of cash at least a bit.

IMHO low mileage is worse than high miles, these cars need to be used to keep going (if that makes sense)
