I wouldn't say there was anything "slight" about the throttle lag!!

I came out of an auto Lexus RX, in comparison the RR feels instant

All the diesels do it. It can be mapped out though so it becomes almost imperceptible but the bottom line is that turbos have to spool up which is never instant. The petrols don't suffer with it but there is an obvious cost to that.

Me too, in fact I've still got the Lexus. Terrible by comparison with the RR. |
