United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

Unfortunately I'm not in that position at the moment, I said I'd have an Aston before I turn 30 and I'm gonna get that.

At 29, the SC, an Aston and a few older Citroens is enough to keep me happy. I'll add a 5.0 SC L405 at some point Smile

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Fuji White

Well, after much deliberating....(none really !), i've decided to keep the Full Fat for the rest of the year, and do the cosmetics, such as 2012 facelift etc, and perhaps the supercharger pulley. Also looking at a Sport SC for the long haired General. But i've now sold the Merc CLK and bought an SL 55 AMG as a plaything out of bed !

David you should listen to your wife, she's obviously got good taste! My wife talked me into buying my Mustang after seeing one she liked at Spa & they are both keepers.

AMG looks great, a couple of my friends have also bought them as playthings Thumbs Up

Test drove the SVR today - an awful lot of car for an awful lot of money as they say. Wasn't too obtrusive, as its pretty quiet when you are just driving normally, but when you floor it with the exhausts open it gives a guttural roar, especially in a tunnel Whistle

The only thing missing is cooled seats, so I'm going to do some comparison test drives & then probably have a go at some man maths as I'm not sure mental cars like the SVR will be around for much longer Big Cry

XJS, I don't think they will either tbh, the nanny state will get rid of them I fear. Cars like the SVR might become quite valuable too if they do as they've been made in such small numbers, it's hard to tell!

The SL55 looks lovely, that red leather really brightens it up inside and makes it stand out. I like it a lot in silver too! Thumbs Up

I wish I could find an Aston in colours/spec/mileage that I like and a colour that SWMBO likes! It's proving a difficult car to find! Sad

Rolling with laughter I love the man maths kicking in - buy one now before they go up in value as they are so rare Thumbs Up

I remember the Escort Cosworth was going to be the last of the hot hatches etc. Whistle

It's highly unlikely that there will be any legislation that prevents such cars, they will just tax them more heavily as they have been doing.

Thanks guys Thumbs Up The AMG (or should it be renamed the OMG it's that brutally quick!) is awesome. There's not a lot will touch it ! I can see my licence having more points than Aston Villa soon ! Laughing Tony

Well, nearly 2 months have passed and there's still no V8 Vantage on the drive... yet Very Happy

The dealer in Edinburgh is keeping an eye out for a car for me. I went to view a car in Wilmslow but wasn't keen on it, they then got another that the cills were the wrong colour on and the panel gap didn't look right so the search continues.

I keep getting my man maths calculator out of the drawer, options that have been considered so far are:

Brand new V8 Vantage
Brand new V12 Vantage S
Used V12 Vantage (hens teeth!)
Used V8 Vantage
Used DBS

And when I popped into the dealer whilst passing yesterday I was immediately drawn to a 2001 V12 Vanquish that they had sitting there in pride of place. That's the car that started my love affair with Aston as a teenager. It's the last of the Newport Pagnell cars, is a James Bond car and has so much presence...

Next step is to try and get the Wife to be over to see it before it sells. Smile
