List of stolen cars in 2015 - be careful out there

Saw this online: The most stolen cars in the UK last year according to Tracker.
It is no doubt skewed, as I expect they only include cars that they know about.
It is biased to the top end as I doubt many Fiesta's have trackers fitted.

Somewhat worrying if you are a Rangey owner, 3 in the top 10.
Obviously they are desirable, but their security must be an issue?

1. Range Rover Sport
2. BMW X5 - has held top spot for last 6 years, but now down to no. 2
3. Range Rover Vogue
4. Mercedes-Benz C220
5. BMW 3 Series
6. Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
7. BMW 5 Series - not been in top 10 since 2009
8. Audi RS4
9. Range Rover Autobiography
10. Audi Q7

Don t the numbers but if you add RRV and RRAB then RR might be nearer the top!

Maybe BMW will make the X5 easier to steal so they can claim the top spot again.......you know how competitive the Germans are!!

Makes me think I should get a Westminster then..... Thumbs Up

My tracker renewal was due in Dec and I'm glad I parted with £147.50 now. I was in two minds at the time. Thanks for the reassurance it will probably be money well spent. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I have the Tracker system, have you looked into the lifetime membership, I was paying £150 per year for about 4/5 years then when I renewed last they asked did I know about the lifetime membership??? Shocked I was like what? I've been paying £150 each year and there is a lifetime membership which was like £230 at the time! Long story short ask for the lifetime membership could save you a £150 per year but still have the peace of mind of tracker

Is there not a Sport Autobiography variant so which one do they actually mean....

I suspect a lot of these are down to the keyless entry systems being so easy to use to get into the vehicle and the others are all with Keys.
Would be nice to see what percentage are stolen with and without keys... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

MY16 cars onwards now have keys hard coded to the control ECU so they can no longer be cloned, hopefully this may help the theft situation. I am most concerned about my home being targeted to steal the keys from me, and its why I don't go to huge efforts to hide them away.

This report has to be biased, its the list of top stolen cars that have a tracker fitted, not taking account of the vast majority of registered vehicles that do not have a tracker.

Crisoy2. That's because they know that they would run out of petrol trying to get away from the boys in blue Laughing The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays
