RR servicing in London

All,

I'm looking for recommendations of a decent RR authorised dealer for serving in London.

Having read many posts in this forum most London dealers seem to get poor ratings for servicing. I'm in North London but would try anywhere for a good dealer for servicing and parts. My nearest dealers, Grange Barnet/ Grange welwyn and Strastone Woodford seem to get particularly bad reviews.

Any help most welcomed.

Thanks

Do you really need a dealer? I'd always buy a car serviced by a good indepedent over a dealer serviced one, all else being equal.

On a brand new car, you need a main dealer really - best way to keep the warranty without any hassle

I know that an Indy doing the right thing counts - but proving it is more hassle than it's worth in the event of a warranty claim.

Once it's out of warranty, it becomes a return on investment question - if you're looking to change soon, then a full MD service history is worth maintaining - if you're keeping it, better with an Indy.

I do agree that an Indy is better for most things and that's where mine will be as soon as it's out of warranty Thumbs Up

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with your views on an Indy and did use one for my last FFRR but when it was came to part-ex the dealer wanted only authorised LR service history, which knocked the price down. If I'd private sold probably would be different.

I negotiated part of the price back later on but I took it as a warning and think I need to use LR approved, just not sure who.

Maybe a bit further out than you would like but very easy to get to...... http://www.lookers.co.uk/land-rover/contac...stortford/

I used them the other week and was pleased by their general attitude and helpfulness....their 'lead time' for servicing is about two weeks.

Thanks Giantlandyman. I'll check it out. That's a decent lead time for servicing, much quicker than I've been told for my nearest LR dealers.
