Hello all .....

I have replaced transmission cooler about 2 months a go, recently transmission start to overheat while on load, i did change oil and filter again but transmission still getting over heated on heavy load.

Monitoring temperature using iid tools i found a big deferent between coolant and transmission temperature!

Related modifications on my FF :

Not sure what's going on there, coolant temp is measured where the water comes out of the engine, the rad temp is measured on the bottom hose where it comes out of the rad, there is usually about 20 deg difference between the two...

My engine runs around 87 deg, the gearbox at around 100deg so I think yours is a bit high, there is a thermostat for the oil cooler in the plastic manifold that the oil cooler fixes to, maybe it's stuck, or the bottom of your rad is blocked up, or the oil cooler or pipes are blocked...

And last thing could be faulty wiring in the gearbox giving an incorrect reading, the temp sensor is contained within the wiring loom...
