If its going through your company is it not loads better to claim the 45p/mile upto 10k then 25p/mile afterwards as if your covering the miles that pays for the lease and some bits? fair enough the servicing cant be put back through the company.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Private purchase at this stage so i'll have to suck up the vat for now, We have plans to turn my farming hobby into a business next year so hopefully introduce the ranger into that then. could I not reclaim the vat then ?. I'm no stranger to been vat reg just a few years out of date thats all.

Im not sure that you would be able to reclaim the vat at that stage. As an individual the sale to your company would be effectively form a non vat registered person to a vat registered entity. the only way you could reclaim the vat was if VAT was shown on the purchase invoice.

As a private individual you would have to sell the car into the company at a recognised value, you as a person can't section part of that invoice as vat so you wouldn't be able to claim it back as the company.

there is nothing wrong with transferring it into the company, this could then be treated as an asset and delved over time with relief on the devaluation. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
