The new beastie...

Hello all,

Finally got round to taking some half decent shots of my new RR.
She is a 2004 TD6 HSE and is my new daily drive after 5 years in a Audi TT coupe!
I have had her about a week and am really beginning to understand why some people are so passionate about these machines.
Just so unbelievably comfortable! Cool

Had a great drive on Sat after an early start to drop my fiancée at T5 for an early flight.
Nice empty M25 as the sun was rising helped me test high(ish) speed abilities of the new AT2 tyres which are proving to be brilliant.

Then a spot of gentle early morning greenlaning across some local routes just to test the low range and the suspension.
TBH could have left at normal ride height in high range and it wouldn't have mattered. Just awesome ride quality compared to defenders that I have driven the same route in. I did have to use the suspension at one point but purely to drop down to access to clear a low hanging tree! Again something a defender couldn't do.

After a quick pitstop at the golden arches for breakfast - my 9yr old sons request, not my choice (honest Whistle ).
We headed over to a lovely little ford to test the wading abilities, again it didn't balk with water up to the numberplate.

We then killed an hour or two just rolling round the Hertfordshire countryside. Which really just wafts by in the front armchairs. A quick inside and out by my local carwash guys and she was ready for her closeup...

I then tried to get a bit arty - apologies to any professional photographers reading this...

Next time I get her dirty I'll take some pics Wink

She's just been picked up from my office by Charles Hurst Park Royal to go in for diff recall, hopefully get her back tomorrow. "If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through."
