Chassis mud removal!

Gave the old girl a wash and brush up at the weekend....! While grubbing about underneath I noticed a sizeable mud plug which hadn't been shifted by car washes, jet wash etc..just at the rear of the air tank and behind the fuel tank cover. I've never off roaded it but from the number of missing panels and scratches underneath a PO has clearly done quite a bit of off roading. So I decided to remove the plug to prevent any moisture build up...

I removed the bolts from the fuel tank cover and was able to lever it down enough to tackle this thing with a screwdriver - it was like concrete! In the end I got out the equivalent of about a bag of sugar.

Then I used my patented tight spaces sucker to get the last dregs out...all in all a very satisfying 30 mins. On the other side the set up is slightly different as there is no air tank, so the only mud trap I could see was a sort of corrugated bracing piece half way down the chassis which was easily cleared. Final pic is the end result which previously was just a solid wall - in fact I originally thought it was some knd of bulkhead!
