Scotland 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black

Always amazes me that some people think they can drive over anything without risk! Shame that he was only trying to help and ended up losing his car! Got enemies? Good, you have stood up for something in your life.

Never regret growing old, it is a privilege denied to many.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Guess the picture with the recovery vehicle on it is after the tide has gone out Sad
Wonder if he tried terrain response or just left it in standard mode as i always advise people with the later LR vehicles after 2002 that if it has DSC/TCS to turn it off if they are on anything but snow as it allows the 4x4 system to then push the power through all the wheels only cutting it out on ones that plainly have no grip and even then it just dials it back a little and doesn't actually kill engine power. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I can remember a good few years ago I had a LR Disco and me and the wife drove along Pendine Sands and the lady said as I paid "Highest tide of the year make sure your back before 6PM" which I said thanks.

Me and the missed drove quite a way and decided to go back early just in case and on coming to the jetty I seen fishermen up on the banks and as I got closer the tide was in.................. ummmmm Censored .

Asked a fisherman "How long is this tide in for" which the reply was "Just drive back down the beach and park up as high as you can" to which I said thanks....................... Ummmmmmmmmmmmm Censored .

Anyway, I rolled the window up, stuck the old girl into diff lock and drove into the sea of which was over the bonnet and luckily up the jetty to a round of applause from onlookers..................... ummmmmmmmmmmmmm great Smile.

But............

On the way back home all of a sudden crunch, grind, crunch, grind............. pulled over and had to be towed to a local LR repairers.

Result a Censored diff which had a hole in it, salt water got in and Censored it all up, plus engine all pitted through salt.

So........... no water works from now on and lesson learned. Range Rover quotes.....

Wouldn't mind the wheels off that car when it's scrapped and the deployable side steps
