A rat eat my washer bottle.

Hi guys has anybody ever had this happen to them,
I had my car in getting rear camera from back of caravan integrated so I can view it from the info central screen.
I got a phone call that water was leaking from engine bay. When I looked I discovered that a rat had eaten the whole top of my washer water bottle tank.
I have been told that the bottles are eco friendly and are made of corn starch, so the little rats find them quite tasty.
Iam a little worriedthat when I go camping and the car is parked outside I might wake up to rat having a picnic in my engine bay again.

If they ate it once they will be motivated to do so again.

I have heard of people wrapping dishwasher drain hoses in aluminium foil to deter mice from chewing through to get at food residues inside. I don't know how practical that would be for a RR and as regards rats.

You could try diversionary trapping under the RR with something that would be tastier/more interesting. If using a breakback trap in the open it should be in a tunnel type enclosure to avoid birds and other non-target species getting killed by mistake. Only Range Rovers since 1988
