What you need to do is make sure that you create folders for each album, as the root directory will only see up to 20 entries.

When I do mine, I put nothing in the root, but create a folder for each artist, and as mentioned previously, folders cannot contain other folders, so only 1 deep.

Hope that makes sense.

Enjoy

Yes in theory, but they'd have to be pretty small mp3 files to fit that many on. I usually get around 5 albums per mp3 cd.

I burned a couple of audiobooks the other week (after farting around trying to convert mp3 to work on the iphone as a proper Audiobook file. Converter keeps crashing.)

My first attempt went off after a couple of hours listening, so I bunged the disc in the PC to find after 50 tracks it skipped to the next disc.

So I had another go, loading a maximum of 49 tracks to a folder. That worked perfectly for me. Thumbs Up

Oh, I found just burning using Explorer on Win 7 worked better than "Mediaplayer", etc. Audi A6 3.0 Allroad Quattro

The following applies to early touchscreen models, and possibly others:

MP3 folder and track format

A CD-R or CD-RW can have MP3 folders and tracks recorded in many different ways, with many layers of folders and with tracks distributed throughout the folder structure. To minimise the loading on the system, a rigid folder structure is required. Therefore, only one level (or layer) of folders is permitted. Up to 20 folders, with a maximum of 20 characters per folder title, are permitted in this level. Up to 50 tracks can exist in the root directory and up to 50 tracks can exist in each folder.

Note: Any folder located within another folder will be ignored.

Note: Any CD containing a mixture of MP3 and CD-DA tracks will be treated as a CD (any MP3 tracks will be ignored).

Note: The CD autochanger may take a long time (1 minute or more) to load a disc, if the disc contains several sessions. The customer can create CDs with up to 40 sessions, but this will result in a prolonged loading time.

Note: The CD player is not guaranteed to play every disc available on the market, because of variations in the quality of discs available.
