How can I make my own animated avatar?

All I want to do is have an avatar that alternates photos of my car in succession. Nothing flash.

Anybody know how to do it?

I have Paint Shop Pro 8, is there something in there I can use? Discovery 4 HSE

Animated avatars are annoying - would prefer it if people didn't to be honest.
