A Tale of Caution (don't online shop when half cut)

Recently, whilst looking through all the gash folk post on facebook, an advert appeared for an awesome torch. So I saved this for perusal at a later date.

Fast forward to last weekend & the wife was away with her pals from Friday to Sunday so it was just me & the kids. They were down to sleep around half seven on Saturday so I had a few lagers. Then a few more. Then I remembered about the awesome torch, went to have a look, clicked their website to be told the more you order, the greater the savings.
Yes, I clicked on mutlibuy, Shocked however the next screen asked if I wanted super duper rechargeable batteries as these things are so powerful , standard batteries don't last, at this point I saw sense, closed the browser down & went for another beer.

Ten minutes later, I thought feck that , i'll just buy the one then. Back into their website, did the deed.

Cue yesterday, I was in a meeting in Edinburgh & the wife texts asking what I've spent £150 on. Oh crap. Told her I'll explain when I get home.

Gets home at tea time, explain that I've made a wee mistake shopping on Saturday, she takes it rather well until I notice the 2 boxes in the kitchen. Crap, told her she's going to be a bit more upset when I open the boxes. Turns out the webpage I shut down was already logged as an order and I ended up getting 4 fecking torches!

Tried to spin them as a start to Christmas shopping, I think I'll have another big bill as recompense shortly... feels better to share! Thumbs Up

There may be an issue with aircraft flight paths in Scotland if I fire all 4 up at the 1 time!! It's like an led headlight bulb in a torch. Must be great as they say the SAS use them as well as US Navy Seals Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Just wondering why the military would use them, especially the types that do COVERT operations. Won't they be visible from miles away when they use these lights................... Just wondering Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I've done a bit of googling & it turns out that, yep, you guessed it, I've pretty much bought some rather crap torches at a grossly overinflated price. Whistle Please don't tell the wife.... I'll just go and sit in the corner for a while.

It would appear that you have some takers for the spares on here, now given that we know you ordered them by mistake and are lumbered with a massive surplus stock, and SMBO is Censored at you, and we know what you paid for them, and you told us they are Censored ..... I reckon £5 each Whistle to shift them sounds fair enough Whistle Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
