hi I have joined the forum for some well needed information , I have 3 landrovers at the min 2 on the road disco2 and a 2010 defender 110 and my series3 in a rebuild state!! but my question is this , I am looking to buy a range rover but don't know the best one to go for . my buget is approx. 5 to 7 k . thanks its a mine field out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

for that kind of budget it'll be a td6 or 4.4 petrol...

if you do the miles then a td6 would be more appropriate..

Welcome... Minefield??? Why sir? Derv or Petrol is your option and HSE or Vogue in trim level Obviously HSE is the lower...

Just look out for grarboxes at that age IMHO the derv option is better, certainly as they are ageing! Hear of more petrol engine failures and there are many many more diesels on the road so, that should speak volumes

just looked ! That's a belter and no mistake !! just need to of load some stuff out of the drive first. just not quite at that spending stage yet , just thought I would ask about , you cant get a better review as from some one that's got one ,but never say never keep sending the links ,

If buying one with the 3.0 tdv6 engine it's worth checking if the gearbox has been rebuilt if it has done over 85k miles as a common issue is for the torque converter to fail around 90k - mine did and was a £2200 rebuild exercise (cheaper than replacing it though - @£5k). Steve
