SUCCESS!!!!

Thanks to all who contributed.

I tried the Miggit bypass from the starter to the coil but no joy. That is however a very useful tip if you need to crank the engine and be at the business end at the same time.

In the end I decided to take the whole dizzy out again and fettle in true James May style. This time however I noticed the amplifier pick up looked dirty and was showing very little ohms. Cleaned it up and generally farted about with the whole thing. Guess what - now full 5k ohms at the pick up and she fires like a goodun.

At least she starts now. Ticks over at 1500 rpm which needs attending too as does the fact that after a few mins she coughs and splutters to a stall but hey ho at least shes alive.

thanks again Gents. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus
