2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey
Help with options...

Hello all,
Wondered if any of you would be happy to make comment on the options I am considering for a new order. Originally planned to buy 6 months old but very little choice and with discounts available (albeit only 5% so far) there doesn't seem to be a big price difference for me to get exactly what I want, and perfectly happy to wait a few months. So here goes...
SDV8 Autobiography
Corris Grey
Ebony interior all round
Sliding roof
Leather headlining (? Not sure but looks good on configurator)
Big wash bottle
Speed limit sign detection
Retractable tow bar (electric)
22 inch seven split-spoke ‘Style 707’ with Diamond Turned Finish (are these too blingy? I do a fair amount of towing-would these be ok or make it a very harsh ride - on configurator the other alloys just look a bit nothingy, but I am not a blingy type person, so not sure on this)
Rubber mat for boot
Full sized spare
Privacy glass

I was considering one of the design packs but felt that this is also a bit bling or am I over thinking it - not seen any on road, does anyone have opinion on this

Anything else I've missed or anything I have chosen that is 'wrong'. Plan on keeping it for 5/6 yrs so resale is not the angle as imagine whatever options I chose will have no value by then.

All input/criticism will be appreciated !!

Many thanks in advance

I like the 707's - there are plenty around - so you shouldn't have to look too far to see a similar one in the flesh Thumbs Up

Seems like a decent spec

I'd consider a black roof on any car with privacy glass - personally, I prefer the all black upper to the floating bit of colour.

I would add;

Exec Seats, Upgraded Meridian Signature, Personalised sill plates, Santorini contrast roof. Definitely Leather Headlining

Thats makes the spec.

You may want to consider the surround cameras if your towing, and as been pointed out to me go for front fogs else your left with odd holes in the front bumper.

Fogs - will be standard on the AB

Exec seats - I nearly went for them - the kids really wanted them, but my wife said no & I'm glad she did. The trade off for being able to fold the seats works for me - I've only folded them a few times, but needed to and would have been inconvenient / embarrassing if I couldn't have. Particularly, the middle seat folds flat, leaving the other 2 in place, which was perfect for loading skis & snowboards as the L405 won't take a roof rack without permanent rails.

Personalised sill plates - each to their own, but not to my taste.

I guess thats why they are all options Very Happy

Laughing I have my steps switched off - I hate the things - if you try to get out too quickly they slam the back of your calves - open the door to reach in & get something and they get your shins - even my 5'3" wife doesn't like them - maybe when I'm old I'll think they are a good idea Whistle

Rolling with laughter We could just never get used to them - I kept stepping over them rather than on them

On the plus side - they are easy to switch off - but they are a bit convoluted to switch back on for the occasional time I'm transporting a small child or elderly relative Wink - I'd much rather have them so that if you pressed the button, they deployed, but you can't operate them like that Big Cry

peakay says he does a fair amount of towing - would you guys really suggest a 5.0L for that ?

My SDV8 is a great towing machine - I've never tried towing with a 5.0L

Thanks for all the input everyone.
I had considered a SC but the range when towing would drive me nuts!!
I agree with the comments re the side steps, a friend has them on his car and they always catch my legs when getting out - think the new MY lowers the car automatically when parked, hopefully making access for the small or older people a bit easier, without need for side steps.
