England 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Zambezi Silver
front brake discs

hi all. i have been thinking of changing my front pads and discs but there seems to be a massive difference in prices. there are discs at £20, drilled ones at £40 and even some for £100+. can anyone tell advise me on the subject. thanks.

consensus is that only genuine discs/pads are best for the FF and will give you least problems, ducky dan will give you a competitive price...

saying that , many have fitted other makes and have been happy with the result.... ... - .- -.

aftermarket drilled grooved discs look good, but they are a bit weird on the pedal at speed. hitting the brake on a motoway, and you hear the grooves, and sort of feel the pedal vibrate....not giving you confidence, at the ideal moment. they work, but are 'noisy' .i will be gettting rid when pads are worn.

I've got Terrafirma slotted and drilled with Green Stuff pads, brakes are twice as good as they were, initial bite is superb and they can take some heat, they work far better than the originals when using the HDC for prolonged periods..

Unlike John, I like the noise/vibration he mentions... lets you know they are working... Thumbs Up Pete
