Should be only an hour labour max.

BTW, it is easy enough to DIY. Just be careful taking off the rear bumper at the sides. Wiring is easy - plug and play after feeding it in through the grommet.

Doesn't sound far off.

Is that including the bar? If so which one? The standard fit is a westfalia bar, not saying the others aren't up to it but there are some really cheaply made ones out there.

The westfalia bar can be bought most cheaply from PF jones off of the tinterwebs, and is doable DIY, or just pay the labour for the fitter to do it. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If you can afford it definitely go for the Westfalia. Genuine electrics are plug & play with no need to remove anything except the spare wheel. Thumbs Up

Genuine spec, removable tow bar is £279.80

And the plug and play electrics are £90.72

And then get one of these to make it a 2x7pin, I use one on mine and they are really good

Aren't they a standard equipment n the UK? The Westfalia, with the 2" receiver hitch, is here. Ron B. VK2OTC

Shocked wot you mean Craig Rolling Eyes

Westfalia make the original equipment towbar for Land Rover..... the only difference is Land Rover put a Land Rover sticker next to the Westfalia sticker and then charge you an extra grand Shocked

Whistle Westfalia also make all the subframes and front bumper sub mount frame / recovery hitch..... or at least they have on my car Shocked you don't think it's a after market Range Rover, do you Shocked

Interesting. Thanks for that.

The reason I asked is that there was one on eBay for $25 here in Sydney and I did an alert on the AULRO forum. I was told by an ex-LR person that all the L322 came in to Oz with the Westfalia towbar already fitted.

With the P38A, the bar fitted is a local item. The rather vulgar looking UK gooseneck wasn't included in the kit as we use a 2" receiver gooseneck here. Ron B. VK2OTC

Hi Stew.

Got mine from P F Jones

Westfalia with fixed, (farmers hitch, easilly removed and no receiver to foul if off road) tow ball, fully occupied 13pin electrics £433. Fitted myself (but easier with 2) in under 2hrs. No dealer requirement to activate, Plug and Play.

PF Jones has a few options, I think mine was the most expensive.

Andy

Andy don't fret about the price..... if you want to cheer yourself up just get a quote for the same parts from your local stealers, you'll soon be Mr. Green Thumbs Up

I think that the last time someone was suicidal enough to get a price from L/R the armature was £1300.00 Shocked and that was without the hitch or the wiring kits, that were, you guessed it, loads of money optional extras Shocked Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
