That's the radar guided cruise control that can slow down, or apply the brakes then re accelerate the car to keep a constant gap from the vehicle in front rather than just hold a fixed speed.

Definitely no forward alert. We bought my wife a new Mercedes E350 last year that has it & I really can't see the point as just at the time you should be concentrating on the road ahead you get a flashing symbol on the dash that distracts your attention!

Not sure acc was standard on Westminster. Royal household tend to buy very basic machines for normal staff cars. Hse ffrr rather than vogue models etc. |
