As above, had a new screen fitted not an (Pilkington) and since then auto lights & wipers not working properly, set auto lights on, its daylight, turn ignition on, lights come on for about 8 to 10 secs then go off, at night lights come on 8 to 10 secs then go off then turn back on 30 secs later, rain sensing wipers not working at all, turned em off with IID tool and intermittent wipers are ok, seen a couple of threads where people have cured this by replacing the gel pad between sensor lens and screen, tried two now so reckon it is either lens or sensor, hoping someone has a broken screen laying about in a corner and can sell me the lens from it, as all was working fine before screen change, I have checked all wiring for damage and all ok, I know they can be got from E Bay but having just spent best end of 5 1/2 grand on two new turbos, EGR valves, Intercooler, power steering cooler etc etc trying to save a few quid, losing the love for it at the moment, as screen cracked about three weeks after turbos etc done so any help much appreciated

My sensor part no is YDB500320, got Land Rover logo on, a lot of the ones on E bay are stamped BMW with the cable outlet in middle, mine is same as this one, with cable outlet on right

Now I am wondering if there are two different sensors maybe there are two screens with different lenses attached and the wrong screen has been fitted to my car, wrong lens = rain sensors not working, think I am needing a lens & sensor from the same vehicle so I know they are a matched pair so to speak, will get lens part no in morning, might help a bit, why is nothing ever simple

The saga continues, tried this morning with no gel pad at all, just holding sensor and lens on screen, exactly same problem, 8 sec on etc etc so nothing to do with gel pad (wish i know that two pads ago ) part number of my lens is 20140903 141376,so if that is the right one for my sensor (part no in previous post) , looking like sensor is faulty, however if not the right lens part number (which means wrong screen fitted) just need correct lens, at this point, lens and sensor from same car looking like best bet, searched the parts microfiche but can find no numbers for sensors or lens, looked on ebay but no sensors and lenses being sold as a pair
