Hi all,
Could any current L405 owners recommend insurance for this vehicle (UK) - currently insured with AVIVA on a multi car policy but they wont cover the new car with this policy and having dug around elsewhere, the insurers I have spoken to so far require a tracker and for the car to be garaged overnight, the latter of which is not possible. I will continue digging but wondered if anyone new of a favorable insurer for this model.

Had previous L405 with Direct Line, When changing to the SC RR, Land Rover Ins came up good !!

I am with NFU and they have been fine

no tracker, no garage but only 7500 miles/year - single driver + wife = 859 pounds per year all risks.  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Could you say who that is with, unable to find anyone who will quote without tracker (which is confusing me - wondering if it has something to do with connect secure (?) on 2016MY) and so far lowest price found (12k miles a year) is £1200 with £550 excess. It is what it is I guess just slightly surprised, previous multi car policy (2 cars 2 owners) for Range Rover and an Evoque was £1020 combined.

No wiring in and certainly keeps LV happy with one of my cars and at about £12 a month may well save more than it costs.

Fitting is DIY with no wiring to worry about. So no issues with invalidating the warranty. But you do need to check your prospective insurance is happy with its Thatcham category.

My L405 does have InControl but is not garaged and the NFU charge me about £800.

Don't have a problem fitting a tracker if needed, it's building the garage that might be tricky !😂

They both lower risk immensely sir... The tracker is a standard these days! Not sure you’ll easily insure her without a tracker! Obviously NOT all properties come with a garage though!!!

That said, the 405 was way up on the most stolen list in the UK for years now sir

Ha, think my questions may be getting answered- just had a knock on door from very nice policeman handing me a letter as a Range Rover owner, detailing that they have had 4 Range Rover thefts in 3 days, be aware etc, all stolen without keys! I guess they are target cars!!

Direct line came up good for me...42 years young,3pts (SP30) with 15+ NCD and 12000 / year with tracker ....£520
